Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classical, old boleros and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, along with the dramatic shows that she attends. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started intensive singing lessons with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. Following her move into the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she relocated to Southern California. The singer currently sings classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
